Facility Engagement is a provincial initiative developed by the Specialist Services Committee to strengthen relationships between health-authorities and facility-based physicians by enhancing engagement to improve medical staff working conditions and quality of patient care delivery.

OUR MANDATE
The BCCA MSES Working Group (WG) is a representative body for all physicians and dentists with privileges at BCCA regional centres. This includes physicians from discipline specific associations, physicians and dentists from disciplines without association status, and regional representatives of the medical and dental staff of all the BCCA regional centres. The WG will represent the BCCA medical staff and liaise with BCCA and PHSA leadership to improve engagement on matters of importance to physicians and patients. It will develop decision-making and funding structures to ensure effective representation and participation of the BCCA medical staff. These structures, along with funding and support provided through the Memorandum of Understanding on Regional and Local Engagement, will:
Support medical/dental staff engagement by providing a forum for the BCCA staff to express their views;
Prioritize views and issues, and bring these to the attention of BCCA and PHSA leadership;
Engage and collaborate with PHSA administration, BCCA executive leadership and physician leaders
Liaise with BCCA medical staff regarding issues of concern raised by the BCCA and PHSA administration.

WHEN: Welcome dinner on Thursday Oct 26th evening, Meeting on Friday, Oct 27th (1230pm to 4:30pm). In addition, there will be some discipline specific meetings on October 27, 8am to noon.
